Select Materials: Choose the correct laminate film and mounting adhesive for the job. Note the width and finish.
Load Top (Laminate) Roll: Mount the laminate roll on the top supply shaft. Thread the material through the rollers as per the diagram on the machine, ensuring the adhesive side is facing down.
Load Bottom (Release Liner) Roll: If using mounting adhesive, load it onto the bottom supply shaft. The release liner should be threaded to the take-up shaft.
Attach to Take-Up Core: Secure the leading edge of the laminate (and release liner, if used) to the take-up core using tape.
Performing Lamination
Set Parameters: On the control panel, set the temperature (for thermal laminates), roller pressure, and speed. Start with the recommended settings for your material.
Engage Rollers: Lower the top roller to engage it with the bottom roller. Ensure pressure is even across the entire width.
Feed the Print: Carefully place the leading edge of your print onto the in-feed table, ensuring it is straight. Gently guide it into the nip of the rollers.
Monitor and Adjust: As the print feeds through, watch for any bubbles, wrinkles (silvering), or alignment issues. Adjust speed or tension as needed. Use the emergency stop button if a major issue occurs.
