Power and Warm-up: Turn on the main power and allow the machine to reach its designated operating temperature. This can take up to 30-45 minutes.
Roller Inspection: Visually inspect the coating and curing rollers for any debris or damage. Clean with the recommended solution and a lint-free cloth if necessary.
Calibrate Roller Gap: Using the control panel, set the roller gap (nip) according to the thickness of the substrate you will be coating. Use a feeler gauge for precise measurement.
Check UV Lamps: Verify that all UV lamps are functional. Check their power output and age in the system menu, and schedule replacements as needed.
Applying UV Coating
Fill Coating Reservoir: Ensure the coating reservoir is filled with the correct type of UV lacquer for your application (e.g., matte, gloss).
Run Test Piece: Feed a test substrate through the machine. Check for even coating, proper adhesion, and complete curing.
Adjust Settings: If the test piece is not perfect, adjust the roller gap, machine speed, or UV lamp intensity as required.
Begin Production: Once settings are dialed in, you can begin feeding your production pieces. Maintain a consistent pace to ensure uniform results.
